wait until you all read the part of his memoir (the first one, of the two he's written) about how he beat up his girlfriend but it was hip hop's fault or something (he really wrote this)https://twitter.com/AsteadWesley/status/1286061966906335238 …

Two memoirs? At the age of 39? Jesus christ this guy has issues.

A memoir is only a collection of memories, so age really has nothing to do with it. There are plenty of memoirists who aren’t 85 years old.

That's true, but with two at that age, in my opinion you're a bit full of yourself.

The books deal with two different, but related, personal topics at two different stages of his life. They’re completely different stories. It’s not narcisissm to write more than one examination of an aspect of one’s own life.

Is it narcissism to blame all your personal failings on "hip-hop culture"

I think that’s a pretty obviously disingenuous characterization of the book’s themes.

You’ll notice the title isn’t “Why I Blame All My Personal Failings on Hip Hop Culture.”

No, but it's describing the story of how he "beat" his personal failings as "beating hip-hop culture"

Did his “personal failings” appear out of thin air? I believe it’s describing the story of how he struggled with certain cultural norms and pressures he ultimately decided weren’t good or productive, in pursuit of ones he felt were better.
