It amuses me to think about how Druckmann apparently realized that it would have been fcked up in a way he wasn't willing to go to kill Lev (this is in a recent interview) so initially he was looking for a way for Ellie to still kill Abby but save Lev (1/2)

The amusing thing about this is, assuming we weren't meant to think Lev immediately grabs a set of golf clubs from the Rattler base and follows Ellie to Jackson, that would ACTUALLY have implied "trans ppl are 'better than this'" (2/2)

It's weird bc as I recall the achievement was "A Slave Obeys," a reference which at that point was three years old it'd be like if an early PS5 title has a similar trophy called "You Stupid Old Man, You Don't Get to Rush This". It feels... overly recent

Golf club I think pops up in one of the Hitman games, and it's definitely in GTA Vice City. Golfing people down to a pulp is a very GTA thing.

It's classy. Especially if you're wearing horrible trousers. Also it's kind of whimsical, because it's silly, as opposed to using a baseball bat which is way more practical.
