You already had to deal with him having been kidnapped to the Arena Eternal by Quake 3

Doom has a canon now? As someone who is a big fan of the original games, this is new to me.

Again, note that even though Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal have a UAC corporation on Mars, they aren't directly in continuity with the original Doom games (because the apocalypse hasn't happened yet and nobody knows who Doomguy is) Indicating there are multiple alternate timelines

This is even explicitly confirmed by cut content in Doom Eternal, with the Khan Makyr offering to use her powers to return Doomguy to his original life in his original world if he surrenders, the "Earth of the First Age in the Seventh Dimension"

So this indicates that it's quite likely that Doom 3 is also "canon" and either took place in Doom 2016's timeline many years ago and was covered up or was just another timeline entirely Same with stuff like the Doom novels, the movie with The Rock, etc

The fact that Doom Eternal's storyline requires there to be a multiverse means that it's pretty easy to argue the Quake 3/Champions crossover stuff is literally canon too

(So the war against Shub-Niggurath from Quake 1 happened in one alternate Earth, the war against the Strogg from Quake 2 and 4 happened in a different one, the Wolfenstein games occupy at least one alternate Earth, possibly more)

There have to be at least two Wolfenstein timelines - one where WWII ends on schedule and the New Order one where it doesn't Because the "normal" timeline is the one where BJ becomes Commander Keen's grandfather, who then becomes Doomguy's grandfather
