Ana is trans and I'm not, so his opinion on this should carry more weight than mine. I didn't even really see WIlliam's character as trans - he was (in my memory) literally a man in a dress playing a trick. I suspect we only liked that movie for his performance.

And this sounds like a ridiculous grad school kind of reach Until you go back and watch that scene in the movie and realize just how much they made Shelob's face look like a giant vagina
