(As one of the people who used to be a Forge zealot who yelled all the time about how D&D was filled with useless cruft, I am much mellower about this today It is objectively a fact that as adults we have a hard time playing pretend, and big huge lists of rules and charts help)

Lord, yes. Look, folks, some people just want to kick in doors and kill monsters and villains while also being non-white/cishet males. It doesn't demand they also be engaged in a Complex Deconstruction of Dungeon Fantasy, that's not a universal demand of marginalized groups
