Maybe... I think it's more resentful indies griping at AAA and sniping the happiness of those of us who get joy from AAA games, and then A/AA/funded indie games sort of hanging out and basically doing what AAA does but a bit less fancy

Gaming doesn't really have a full-blown "indie" scene like film does, is the thing, because there isn't really a fully indie platform. It has a thriving corporate-professional scene and a thriving AMATEUR scene that we *call* an indie scene.

I remember a standup comic complaining about how most "experimental" comics are just bad at it and really self-indulgent, and a lot of them clearly have no interest in making a living at it at all, but you have to put up with them while trying to come up through open mics
