Lol, well, leftists have been "talking about whiteness" since I was in college so if that's the cause and effect of Richard Spencer it was pretty gradual I do notice that his *decrease* in prominence after someone coldcocked him was very rapid though

Yeah, we actually know why Richard Spencer rose to prominence - because he put on a suit and half the world fell over itself writing puff pieces about the “dapper Nazi” just because he never personally wore an ss uniform

It wasn't just Richard Spencer. The entire New Right movement was a reaction to woke thought

no, they decided decades ago to blend in and present themselves as reasonable neighbours with different ideas. it was an explicit tactic of neo-nazis to infiltrate professional and public spheres they had been shunned from. are you ignorant or just promoting disinformation?

Why did it suddenly start working right after the press got super woke?

it didn't: it was a long term effort and the press is far from super woke. the internet has allowed neo-nazis to coordinate their efforts with greater ease though. why didn't you answer my question?

The answer to your question is I disagree. The internet had been around for a long time. We see a bunch of wokeness. Then we see a right-wing counterreaction. If it was just the internet enabling the right, the fact that the reaction happened right after is a big coincidence

right after what? your assertion is fallacious and that is a non-answer to a very simple question. if it's a matter of ignorance you could choose to educate yourself but your defensive posture suggests your purpose is malicious.

perhaps you are very young? some of us have long term experience keeping an eye on the ploys of neo-nazis, starting way before the internet existed at all. progress marches on and the idea that wokeness is a novel phenomenon is facile at best.
