Do you have evidence that he's bad at treating patients? What if his patients like him and are being helped by him? Why shouldn't he be allowed to treat patients?

If he's both such a great doctor and such a great writer and thinker then how could being "doxed" possibly harm his career Wouldn't people knowing their doctor was the great Scott Alexander send people flooding toward his practice

Ha ha oh my fucking God You people don't realize how horrible this looks just on the face of it "Scott's blog is a great work of art and scholarship and shows him to be a saintly man of reason and compassion HOW DARE YOU LET HIS PATIENTS KNOW HE WROTE IT"

"There's nothing objectionable in his writing that I can see, you're making that up Also if his real name were ever connected to his writing it would destroy his career and his life"

You know, the one unequivocally true and useful thing Yud has ever said -- and which neither he, nor anyone else in his cult, actually believes -- is "Whatever can be destroyed by the truth, should be."

It's because Eliezer's whole cult is based on the idea that only smart people can be the stewards of truth and the dumb unwashed masses can't be trusted to interpret it "The sanity waterline" etc

You have expressed both a complete disregard for truth seeking and resentment at not being trusted to interpret it. You're welcome to use disinfo to battle Nazis, but why then complain about truth seekers dismissing you? You chose your path.

Scott has said this: "The only public figure I can think of in the southeast quadrant with me is Charles Murray. " If you don't find that and the rest of the context objectionable, there is no point in talking with you any further.

Yeah I don't know if "dogwhistle" is even the right word here It's completely obvious what he means if you actually follow him or you have any familiarity with the community he's from, but it's deniable to all the randos who wander by

He never mentions race specifically but this article says outright that he thinks that poor people are poor because they're just genetically incapable of adapting to the modern world, and approvingly cites Charles Murray, who said that Black people in particular have bad genes

"radicalizing the romance less" was terrible, too. I can't imagine him successfully treating any female victims of domestic violence. there's probably a voice at the back of his head going, why can a violent guy get a date but not me?
