Kentucky Route Zero does this really really well. All of the choices you make as the character are woven into the story as basically the only choices that character would make, rather than a diversion or alignment with a preconceived idea of the character.

Or rather, the things the character says about themselves or their past *are true* for your version of the character. There is no *true* version that you’re either telling the truth or lying about like there is in most choice-based games.
