I wish there was a non-combative way to explain to MOGAI people that inspiration is idiosyncratic Something that helped you come out of the closet, something that kept you alive through a dark time, something that helped you figure out who you are, is not unimpeachable for it

To me this consternating because the military kept me alive in a much more literal way than somebody's fondness for ROCKY HORROR kept them alive and I'm still honest enough to admit my lifeline absolutely should never have existed I can cope with that cognitive dissonance
