The issue I think is this is a long ongoing fight that a lot of the people angry now are new to so the risk terms of the debate are getting lost in the noise

My issue with it is the converse, that I think on a deep level they're probably right, but if you're going to push on this it's way too early to make a power grab, you still have to make the ethical argument. Also that it's unfair to contemporary authors to switch whole hog.
