(I think it's pretty obvious that long copyright terms benefit corporations more than small individuals but that by contrast widespread piracy of currently copyrighted works hurt the small individuals proportionately way more than the big corporations)

Like I don't think people get that the DMCA and the concept of a DMCA takedown request was specifically invented for the benefit of small individual creators It's an enforcement process that doesn't require you have a legal team on retainer to send letters back and forth all day

I think I'm generally inclined towards reducing intellectual property rights rather than expanding them, yeah. A lot of it is pretty specific in different industries, though.

I think patents need to be curtailed especially in their applicability. Algorithms and natural processes should be excluded. It's the bare minimum for me.
