when will you shitheads unionize and demand your wealthy companies, who have driven your wages down to nothing, instead of being furious that someone out there might have not paid for a copy of your book

The most disingenuous shit I've seen them doing is trying to paint IA as basically The Pirate Bay but for books. which is insane. because that exists & it's not IA.

Somehow they've been convinced they're fighting pirates (which is lol) but really they're just fighting librarians & library patrons, who they claim to love.

I haven't seen any librarians supporting the IA. They haven't acknowledged that libraries have ebooks to borrow.

IA uses time based digital lending much like how things like libby fuction. Their borrows are wrapped in DRM that locks you out after 14 days or so. Loads of librarians & academics have used the archive similarly to how we do a physical library for a while.

IA does this without paying any additional money to the publisher or author for an ebook license, which is a distinction invisible to the end user but is very much the key distinction if it's your livelihood
