And this suggestion, which I respect is well-intentioned, rests on the same mistaken premise as the idea that authors *caused* the lawsuit in the first place. A few high-profile authors *do* have clout with their publishers - and they should use it! But most have little to none.
Which is why I asked if authors making a public stink about the value of IA would change anything about the publishers' behavior. I know most authors barely even have control over their book's cover!
