Rowling has enough clout she could demand equality all day long and never worry about negative consequences.

Why does Rowling in particular have to support women and donate money. Do you expect this from all women celebrities or authors?

I expect every successful woman to do what she can to make life better for women directly. If she doesn't then she is failing women and offers no reason to be listened to about anything.

So if a woman succeeds and does nothing to help other women succeed you're okay with that. So much for caring about women and equality.

She advocates a position that there is only one way for women to see womanhood, which deprives women of their own voices to speak of womanhood in their own terms. So no she isn't much for the equality of women.

So she isn't allowed her opinion because it takes away other womens voice. And your solution is too take away her voice? Or make her say what you want?

Why do we keep coming back to this idea that me saying how I feel about JK Rowling isn't just as much an exercise of free speech as her saying how she feels about trans people I have no power to "silence" her or to "force" her to say anything, we're all just talking
