Do you think the staff at the Atlantic have prioritized among their other duties working notably hard to normalize TERF ideology? Or nah?

Yes From their POV, they believe they have identified a marginalized, underserved "dissident" viewpoint and by going out of their way to give it a platform they have opened up a vital conversation

I have no information on whether they published something(s) objectionable on the issue and take your word for it that they have done, but your argument - I'm sorry to say so - is absurd to anyone not involved. The Atlantic is not working hard to normalize TERF ideology.

Again, if you asked them how they would describe it in their own terms they would say they think they've opened up a vital debate on a topic people are "afraid to take sides on" They can call it what they want but it is what it is
