Brooklyn Nine Nine has some really good episodes dealing with police corruption and brutality, and one in which one of the star detectives has to bring in his friend for planting evidence. They deal with the structural problems in US policing pretty well for a cop show.

Like every episode of B99 where they work with another unit/cop—an old mentor, an elite squad, a good friend—the other one is ALWAYS CORRUPT. It’s totally a lampshade about copaganda. The only good cops are our misfit protagonists. Who are definitely fictional.

They are of course the only one that's any good about these things. Though I do have a soft spot for L&O SVU. They are both, however, functionally fantasies of "what if the police actually did the jobs people thought they were supposed to be for". And they're fine as that.
