LRT reminds me how kinda fcked up the episode introducing Amy Pond really is, where the premise is essentially implying that Amy's obsession with the Doctor has driven her to (relatively "respectable") survival sex work Unless I misunderstand what a "kiss-o-gram" is

Well, okay, I just looked it up and it's a thing but I would be surprised to see it's very much of a thing in the 21st century
-
Apparently it only exists now as a euphemism for strippers and as the "lowest tier" of service you can order from one of those stripper telegram services

That's what I figured, that it was a weird euphemism. And I definitely took the implication to be that 1) she'd rather not be doing that job and 2) she was bc the Doctor derailed her life

Yeah. It was clearly intended for her to be a stripper but it’s BBC1. I’m not sure what the implication was. I think it was mostly for the gag about the doctor acting like she was still a kid and to get her in a police uniform for plot. And give her a job easy to run off from.
