Along similar (or maybe opposite, I dunno) lines, I used to be a loyal iPhone user for many years until eventually the 10% surcharge on anything that has a Lightning cable instead of a USB cable also finally wore out my patience

Yeah, Linux requires fundamentally different thinking about how you interact with the computer, and benefits of that can vary hugely depending on what you want out of the experience... great for server admin but I still can’t recommend it for day-to-day for vast majority of users
