That's not what the concept of "protected speech" means, and it has never, ever, ever been the law that you cannot get fired from a private sector job by an employer who doesn't like the things you say

The board had the right to decide if her opinions were a protected "philosophy", a la religion or politics. Instead, they dragged her like she was in a struggle session.

Okay, I'm confused. Forester's opinions are political. And trans people just walking around are also political. Are you saying that the existence of trans people is simply an opinion now?

Forster didn't prevent any trans person from "walking around". She never said anything about their right to "exist". No straw men, please.

She just created a toxic workplace environment. Including making a point not to abide b y the policies of her own workplace, agreed to in her contract. Which is why her contract wasn't renewed.pic.twitter.com/DmwBiCE1zk

If you don't think opinions can be correct or incorrect what's the point of even having them

A different POV: Opinions are subjective ideas about a problem. Correct / incorrect can only be marked after a problem is resolved. Connected/disconnected, tells whether a person is engaged in resolving the problem or not. In problem-solving there are no 'incorrect' ideas.
