I always assumed this started along with the fad of alkaline water, which, I think stems from a few specific aquifers that have high magnesium etc and are also somewhat basic being linked to better health in small n medical studies.

I saw that, too and had to look it up. Stiiiiiill acidic. I really want to see where this goes. (Most likely renal failure, and everynurse knows that renals don’t die.)
