Even before she's born everyone around her has been trained to put her welfare above all else because making her happy makes them happy Meyer does not seem to realize how incredibly creepy this is

Anyway it's implied that Jacob was, indeed, ALWAYS in love with Renesmee and not Bella, that his attraction to Bella was his attraction to the part of her that would become Renesmee and as soon as she was born it transferred over Again, almost worse than before it was explained

o_O Well this is certainly a, umn, "creative" way to resolve your love triangle.

I liked pointing out that this really should mean he was just as drawn to the sperm inside Edward as the egg inside Bella but that just encourages people

(Okay so someone with ovaries has all the eggs they will ever produce already in their body when they're born, whereas testes produce new sperm all the time, so this wouldn't normally be true But Edward is a vampire and officially vampires cannot produce new eggs or sperm)

(Meyer clarified the reason Edward was able to impregnate Bella, something long thought impossible, is because he's a virgin, and the last load of sperm he produced before vampirization has still been sitting there perfectly preserved because he hasn't ejaculated in a century)

Yeah it's a thing, he tells the Volturi that Edward and Bella aren't the real enemy and it's his dad who's got the evil plan to sire a race of half-vampires
