It's also a pretty stark reminder that the "punch up/punch down" theory of humor is a recent idea that holds no water. No matter how much we want to, there's nothing discouraging comedy from "punching down".

maybe is a generacional vias, but i think 90-00 where the adolecense of comedy, too free from traditional media censorship (fisrt Cable TV, later the internet) but lacking the self diciplina an introspection that came from the nu10s videoesays and shit.
