Same in the Midfle Eastern language. All know “okay” or “hello.” The age of Imperialism did spread British and American influence worldwide and not just in colonialist regions. The telephone, literacy/press, and the global digital connection aided as well in today’s world.

As I learn contemporary Hebrew, it's interesting to see how it integrates loan words, especially in tech areas, A lot of words stay the same, but verbs often take on Hebrew forms, e.g. "I compiled" becomes "kimpalti".
