it can be! I don't see it in this case; way too fragmented and confused about it. I think someone has to make at least a gesture at a case for solidarity, if that's what the movie wants to be about.

Yes, the dad gets drunk and maudlin and starts asking the son if the chauffeur they got fired ended up all right and got another job, and the son tries to reassure him while the topic starts pissing the daughter off

After all, the housekeeper didn't get fucked over because she showed empathy to the Kims but because she was a threat to them She seemingly had her own perfect setup but got outwitted
