I will apologize for many things in Protestantism, including John Calvin, but Luther and I are not bros.
Calvin was just as strongly inclined that way if not more and I don't really buy that if Luther hadn't happened Calvin wouldn't have happened

Sure, but you probably would've gotten a different social model, and at least Calvin actually put his money where his mouth was when it came to trying to build a healthy and more egalitarian society instead of "hey, princes, go slaughter those rebellious peasants!"

If we're going to have a center of Protestantism in Europe, I would've preferred the Moravians be the spark that lit the flame, honestly.
