I mean the tragic ending of KotOR 2 is in fact that being a Gray Jedi isn't possible

I will remind you that a good chunk of my annoyance is with fandom thinking Kreia Had It Right About Everything.

Yes. Again, Kreia wants - ignoring for the moment all the oh so clever wankery - to literally break the universe in pursuit of a "freedom" that she wants purely for its sheer petty contrariness, causing vastly more suffering in her attempt to do so than would otherwise occur

It's really just because a lot of nerds resent a world where they are subordinate to ANYTHING.

To them, the mere existence of a higher power proves it must be destroyed. It's the whole "THE FORCE CAUSED TURMOIL FOR EONS!" - no, Force USERS, largely those acting against the greater part of it by preying on others and supposedly defiant of it, caused turmoil.

Presumably the force was powerless to stop said Darksiders for some reason, also this just feels like more support for my point that we should even the playing field by giving non-force users force powers

I mean people working as the Jedi or opposing said Darksiders *are* the attempt to stop them.

Wow it sounds like the force can't be trusted with such a high risk issue and we need to take this issue out of the hands of the religious elite and find a way to put into those of the force insensitives AKA those most at risk from these dark force users

You keep framing this in highly anthropomorphic terms of *prohibition* and *allowance*

Big picture, this is all just bubbles in the lifeweb of the midichlorians changing shape, like the flowing shapes in a lava lamp Good defeats evil only to be defeated by evil again in an endless cycle because that's just what the midichlorians do, it's the story they're telling

So I'm not saying shrink ray to fight this microscopic war, but I am saying shrink ray to fight this microscopic war

Isn't this what Lucas wanted to do for the sequel trilogy?
