Lol I'm just imagining the various schools I went to At no point, between primary, middle and high school, was it ever realistic that one infected student would not rapidly infect everyone in the building, and that this would not then take out a huge chunk of the faculty/staff

Dead-end job is an overstatement or wrongstatement. But there not much you can move up to from teacher and the things that are there don't have positions for everybody.

I’m a teacher, 48, T1 diabetic, and care for my mother who has terminal lung cancer. Statistically, elder care is done by women like me. Every one of my middle-aged female colleagues is caring for a parent or in-law. I have no idea how to go back to a London classroom safely
