To the point where there was a gag in the episode with the letterman's jacket where once she was under a love spell she had to use magic to try to turn the guy into a woman

Yeah, I'm not saying we should stan for Whedon or anything, but actively including prominent queer characters on screen and then later admitting you made mistakes with how you did it is not the same as JKR's habit of doing nothing and then claiming X character was queer all along

Yeah I mean this was already the topic of a lot of fan discourse, like Willow's deal is the textbook example of what people mean by "bi erasure" (And I gather at the time they treated it the way they did to avoid pressure to just have her date men again)
