Sometimes I think about how the word "OK" is one of the most globally widespread loanwords from the English language and as far as we can tell it started, in the most literal sense, as a meme Like it was a dumb fad to awkwardly spell things wrong and make them into initials

And then it became so widespread that everyone forgot the origin and people still argue about it to this day (but this story is, at least, why it became a thing in its current form, spelled as the letters OK)
