Thank you. Truth is, it’d be ok if one parent was free to supervise / clean / plan / keep everyone sane / worry about the kids etc. But if not its really, really tough. Infuriating when you’re used to checking your privilege, to find that that courtesy is a one way street.

I'm telling you how your "choice" would be perceived by someone who has been on the receiving end of these coded not-really-choices before. You can hope all you want, but if you did this to me, I would perceive it as a coded order. You proceed knowing that.
