Well, there are thousands of suicides a week regardless of what's happening. Has anyone actually tracked the suicide rate since quarantines have gone into effect?
-
The US has something like 44,000 suicides per year, so that averages out to less than 1,000/week. The rate’s been increasing steadily over the past couple of decades, so I don’t know if it’d be easy to spot a shutdown-specific uptick.

If there are, it's not because of being inside, it's because of the fact that unemployment causes suicide via financial stress and the debt abuse that people have to go through for living in American capitalism.
-
Also I doubt a bunch of unmasked people coughing all over them is going to alleviate their stress and anxiety.

I keep seeing this being trotted out as a fact with absolutely zero evidence.

Concern trolling, that why.
