It's actually really funny that history is repeating itself here Elon refusing to just outsource production or at least adopt legacy automaking processes and instead making the disastrous decision to "innovate" production from the ground up

At the time Ford was the innovator, not Edison, but it was Edison's total inability to do cost control that sank his dreams of getting into the auto business

And he had that seething resentment that Ford not using any innovative *technology* but just making cars cheap as hell and easy to crank out on a budget meant he won the game Like that was cheating
