Yeah - and to a significant extent, people are pretty motivated by wanting nice things, rather than just survival wages. It's calibrating that which gets so tough.

Generally speaking, we call those 'luxuries' and somehow, end up with both leftist and rightist arguments against their existence, seeing the desire for them as moral failure. But, I don't know. Nice things are nice.
