I'm trying to think of a good way to explain how it actually works Like unfortunately the virus is odorless as well as invisible, but you need to imagine if it weren't Imagine all other human beings smelled really bad and if you smelled them your life was in danger

The whole reason we have a sense of smell is to enable us to detect and avoid toxins and pathogens, it just doesn't work that well But you know that if you want to avoid smelling something "stand six feet back" is a *bare minimum* rule and fails much of the time right

It's... It's the touching the rope that gets me. Every Single. Person. Touched that rope as part of this...

Plus you're probably better off being 6 feet apart from somebody if you're moving alongside them as opposed to behind them.

People have *way* internalized the 6' rule. They don't get how this works.

Actually the six feet is the average trajectory of a sneeze spray from head to ground. Of course that would be in a vacuum and assume that you aren't skipping/conga-ing into the six foot range...

I don’t think there’s any scientific support for outdoors transmission of the virus
-
Do you think it's literally impossible to get the virus from breathing in droplets if you're standing outdoors Like do you think sunlight literally destroys the virus in a fraction of a second so you can't even get it from someone standing right there

Unfortunately, I bet there are people who re going to misinterpret THAT and assume that since there is now "no point", they can just breath their halitosis right in someones face now.
