(Also whether Kate is currently dead or is safe in the hospital probably has a strong impact on how appealing each choice is to many players)

The hospital isn't in Arcadia Bay though.

Yeah that's what I mean If you care a lot about Kate then if she's dead letting Chloe sacrifice herself by resetting the timeline is the only way to get her back On the other hand if she's alive and in the hospital then at least you know you're not sacrificing her

It strongly pushes you toward one choice or the other depending on if you saved her or not (assuming you ship her with Max)

I'd also immersed myself in Max more thoroughly than I think any other character from any medium, and I immerse pretty deeply in fictional books. I, as Max, had fallen in love with Chloe. It was weird, and intense, and very much not as myself. Very strong influence on the end

Probably the whole pining for a hypothetical queer teen awakening as girl that I really wish I had, that I know Ellie has a lot of similar feelings about. Clearly delineated from what mine would actually have been though by being American and arty

How do you know yours wouldn't have been arty? :P

I know it in my bones lol. Ok fair point, but if it was it wouldn't have been photography I don't think. At least not Max level of hardcore nerdery and textually good at it

I do relate more to Max than Chloe though. Geeky, relatively repressed rather than following my impulses, I've got this weird rule following angle (where I see the public good in the rule) that just doesn't fit Chloe. Falling for her though? Yeah.

I mean I was like Warren, not either of them, IRL but the whole point of this is that imagining fantasy alternate pasts for people like us involves shifting certain things

How much worse would you feel about destroying the town knowing it would, at best, delay Warren's opportunity to transition by several years

That's a low blow for my dislike of him lol. But it's entirely possible I disliked him for being uncomfortably close to me as well
