The emotional decision making was that I couldn't let Chloe die on the floor of that bathroom having her last few years filled with pain and abandonment, with her best friend having walked away almost without a word and then lost the one friend she made since then and loved

I feel like this is definitely partly based on whether you romanced Warren at all or you only had eyes for Chloe

Like, taking Warren's photo from him with the promise that you'll save him and everyone else and letting him kiss you for luck, then deciding to just not do it is pretty cold

(Also whether Kate is currently dead or is safe in the hospital probably has a strong impact on how appealing each choice is to many players)

The hospital isn't in Arcadia Bay though.

Yeah that's what I mean If you care a lot about Kate then if she's dead letting Chloe sacrifice herself by resetting the timeline is the only way to get her back On the other hand if she's alive and in the hospital then at least you know you're not sacrificing her

It strongly pushes you toward one choice or the other depending on if you saved her or not (assuming you ship her with Max)

The strength of the Max/Kate fandon honestly baffles me. I don't anti-see it, but it seems like someone decided Max needed an even sadder, even more self destructive friend than Chloe whose self destruction is less fun?

Kate's unbearable rock and a hard place situation with her fundie background making her a target for bullying is sadly relatable to way too many people

That's totally fair. Like I said, I don't dislike the character or the ship, I just personally relate more to Chloe than anyone (LiS1 for me is absolutely a Escort Mission of Myself, just like the Spore Zombie Game - I don't relate to Max much)

It's totally that unfortunate suicide woobie angle Like Victoria somehow seriously doesn't realize she's "taking it too far" until Kate *actually jumps* (with her still filming it)
