Going back to undo the entire game is doing what we've just been told not to do, but bigger and grander. I actually was ok with that as a message but disagreed with the last episodes logic and conclusion from there

Hey, they agreed to their creation and they are mega popular. Own it, French people!

The fandom has split up canon into assuming nothing is canon with anything else, which is more extreme than any Wikia I've seen. David, for instance, is classed as a different character between LiS1 and 2

True but they are based on a strong extrapolation from the game itself (I recall you pointing it out, actually, when we discussed this some time before the comics, that it seemed as if the timelines might be being abandoned by POV-max but continue on their own)

They're not NOT canon though, but that won't really be clear either way until one significantly contradicts the other, which so far has been avoided other than the discrepancy in just how destroyed Acadia Bay gets in the Bae ending

Like, I'm still disappointed LIS2 never circled back to Seattle (at least in the only ending I've seen so far) where they could drop Pixie and the rest of the band into the background of a scene, or even just a High Seas poster as an Easter egg
