God it's so fucked that people think supporting reopening is "supporting the working class" It's exactly analogous to thinking that "supporting the troops" means supporting the war that is killing the troops

Exactly. The loudest protests thus far have been from those experiencing being told "No, not right now -- you'll have to wait, just like everyone else." for the first time in recent history & they're losing their minds!pic.twitter.com/dFxStukp9y

The problem is that in America the social safety net is so weak and the stimulus packages so far have not been effective. Many people are behind on their bills and are starting to freak out.

Possibly even worse, because at least soldiers were signing up with knowledge that they'd possibly die. I doubt that cashier at Dairy Queen agreed to that.

Until it's their kid who was working at Dairy Queen is affected by this they don't care

If people really supported the working class: • They would stop blowing their Covid-19 infused, halitosis-breath into the cashier's face at the grocery. • They would pay a living wage to essential workers (the same people they liked to call unskilled-workers two weeks ago).

They would have gave everyone over 18 thousand dollars a month for 5 months or longer

It's worse. People understand the risks when they sign up for the military. No one assumes those sort of risks to work at Walmart.

People sign up to protect this country, not to die just to raise the price of oil.

Well if the billionaires like the system that made them billionaires, then it’s time to start stepping up in a BIG WAY! Otherwise their money will be about as good as toilet paper.
