Remember the Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares with the bakery that was straight up fake, like she was just buying cake and frosting from the store and presenting the finished cakes as her own work

One of the classic signs of a bubble is an increasing percentage of counterfeit/fraud, like how the 2009 mortgage crisis was marked by people submitting blatantly fake info to underwriters and still getting approved to buy the house

Along those lines the king castella cake bubble burst when there was this viral TV expose about how the cakes (which are supposed to be this fluffy custard thing) were being made just by dumping in cooking oil and synthetic emulsifiers
