Oh and the Klingons killed her family bc they wanted the time robots to happen, this is presumably a major reason why the Klingons and Romulans have been rivals besides stealing each other's ship designs for generations

Thanks to the last two seasons of canon Star Trek has a new temporal cold war and it is caused by the Reapers, basically

I mean, 'Temporal cold war' isn't a new idea to star trek; it was at least initially a major theme in Enterprise. ...also, I personally think that's a super cool idea, and wish I had the wherewithal to write that kind of story.

No I know, it's just this is a different temporal cold war than the one in Enterprise

I'd love to see the Starfleet time police explaining the real reason for their work is "every time you people pull this protagonist sht, you know what you risk unleashing? THE REAPERS! And you know what happens when you unleash the Reapers? MORE PROTAGONISTS WHO PULL THIS SHT!"

The original explanation for the Humanoid Figure (the sponsor of the Suliban Cabal) was that it was an alternate version of Archer himself after he got stranded in a bad future But they decided this idea was hacky and bad, but then couldn't come up with a better one

So they just abandoned it and decided to pretend the Temporal Cold War never happened, which is kind of meta

The Humanoid Figure is probably now either an Android or Michael Burnham
