Normally when things stop tasting good it just means I'm depressed and unhappy but

Well I stopped eating that and started eating this kimchi which I can taste pretty strongly but that's just me intentionally biasing the test

i used to be addicted to the things but now they just taste like cardboard. i suspect it was one of those top-down sensory processing phenomena: i had been so long conditioned to think they tasted amazing that they did taste amazing, regardless of their void of quality.
