I've spoken to and know intersex people. Your selection is not representative, I suspect.

Ahahaha Insofar as there is any representative consensus, documents like the Malta Declaration or the Darlington Statement are meant to express it Claire Graham and her clique of Twitter warriors are furiously opposed to that consensus

And they've convinced TERF Twitter that they're the representative sample and everyone else - including all the big name intersex orgs and activists - have been subverted by TRAs It's really something to see

Like, the Darlington Statement is very clear that one of the big action items on their agenda is ending the legal classification of binary sex immediately Whereas TERF Twitter would have you believe that intersex people generally are fighting to save binary sex classification

It's genuinely deeply infuriating seeing Claire's personal PR campaign has turned her into a "leading intersex activist" in the minds of TERFs and emboldened hundreds more non-intersex TERFs to speak on behalf of intersex people like they know what they're talking about

All while they're blatantly spewing right wing essentialism that real intersex activists have spent years and years explicitly fighting AGAINST Like it says in black and white in the Darlington Statement that they demand gender self-ID with no qualifications for all people

She loves to declare intersex people must be labeled as female or male, and she asserts that not doing that will cause issues with healthcare. Like any doctor gives a fuck what's on a birth certificate or driver's license.

She actively argues that intersex people don't have the absolute right to categorize themselves. And as for what Malta and Darlington say about everyone being able to change their sex on their official paperwork, ohhh man.

Granted the whole gender critical crowd thinks that would be the end of the world. And also that we must never ever do away with sex being noted on official documents, even though Malta and Darlington have as one of their aims doing away with that.
