It's really something, the feeling settling in watching Spider-Man Far From Home and going "Wait they're really just gonna try to roll with this Treat the 'post-Blip' world like it's still a viable setting for normal adventures in a world that looks like ours"

Like that in and of itself is surreal Adult Swim style comedy Like the Futurama joke where Farnsworth just casually mentions "No one is sure what happened back then, the records were lost during the Second Coming of Jesus twenty years later"

Have you seen Les Revenants? People start coming back from the dead and a lot of the series focused on families coping with the loss of a loved one, only for them to just come back like nothing happened.

Everyone says the character lost a husband or boyfriend, bur I don't think that's ever explicit, is it? He just went on a date and the two of them cried because everything in general was terrible (and they probably both lost *someone* we just don't know who)

I want mockumentary footage of more blip problems. I want hours of that. I wanna more high schools deal with kids that disappear and come back the same age

The Blip was such a terrible idea. Like, if they were actually willing to commit to what the implications of that would be, then it would be a great source of conflict and drama. But for the fun, light-hearted Marvel movies all they can do is ignore it. Such a big mistake

The marvel movies really showed their weaknesses when they focused solely on how superheroes reacted The end of IW had a montage of heroes disappearing for people to put in their notebooks, but it would have been so much more powerful to see that busful of Spidey's friends

Cut to Aunt May doing dishes and looking at a picture of Ben as she starts to fade. Pepper Potts at a cafe where everyone disappears around her. Vanishing Wakandan mothers holding vanishing children
