I mean, like Dr. Manhattan says, there is no "end", nothing ever "ends" Humans aren't the "pinnacle" or "endpoint" of anything, if we all die in a nuclear war tomorrow and there's nothing left but cockroaches that's just as much evolution as anything that happened before now

Even if evolution DID have a goal, i'm not sure why it's my problem. Evolution doesn't pay my salary.

Or on the other hand, since I am a product of evolution, whatever I do was evolution's 'goal.'

Right, the TERF shit about how trans people "defy biology" There's nothing to defy Everything we human beings do IS biology, there's no meaningful philosophical distinction

Speaking as a professional molecular biologist, IMHO "What did nature intend" is a really weird way to live your life. Nature didn't intend anything! YOU get to decide! Which is kind of scary but also kind of liberating!

But that doesnt seem right because something in nature had to push to join the amino acids to make a chain then a protein then and then and then and then and then...complex creatures with common ancestry for nature to even have a "throw at the wall and see if it sticks"...

Evolution doesn't "push" Evolution isn't a "force" Evolution should not be reified (fancy pants Latin for "evolution is not a thing")

What you're describing is creationism, just with handwavy magic instead of God It's just as false either way though

"Evolution" is just a name for the tautology that *if* you're in a situation where a lot of random things are constantly happening, and certain things happen in a way that make it more likely for those things to repeat, then those are the things you will see continuing to happen

Okay, but even the system in place to act like the system you are describing begs the question why is it built in to nature at all?

That's not what "begs the question" actually means (look it up) and anyway I'm fine with not asking that question, it's a stupid question
