This is genuinely kind of upsetting, like everyone trying to pretend they never made fun of Mr Rogers for being twee or for his show being boring and slow It's the reverse of pretending nobody liked Avatar and nobody paid to see it in Imax even once let alone nine timeshttps://twitter.com/ShadowTodd/status/1254235973807996929 …

But who was making fun? I mean, I'm a borderline GenX (1979 baby) but I remember feeling like I had to defend my appreciation for Keanu to my parents' generation. I feel like it was the reviewers who dunked on him, and they were generally older than GenX.

I can't imagine 20 something hipsters in 1992 watching Bram Stoker's Dracula NOT making fun of him!

Were there hipsters in 1992? I'm genuinely asking, because I was 13 in 1992, saw Dracula in the theater, and loved it.

The term "hipster" goes all the way back to like the 1920s (the word "hippie" comes from "hipster")
