I think that whether a person with AIS is trans or cis or a man or a woman is totally orthogonal to the question of whether they have AIS, which is a medical question and not anyone's business who isn't involved in their medical care

The C/P/MAIS diagnostic distinction, which basically hinges in practice on gender assignment at birth, has done a ton of social and psychological harm that intersex people have spoken about But Claire, of course, doesn't care

I was diagnosed with Crohn’s at 13 so a lot of awful medical procedures (like colonoscopies and rectal exams) were part of my life long before any of my peers would have one. But them not WANTING an unnecessary and invasive medical exam wouldn’t be shaming me for needing them.

The right of a patient to refuse medical testing or, having received medical testing, to refuse to disclose the result of those tests to people not involved in their care is pretty fundamental And your personal baggage really ought to have no bearing on it
