If you're not American, what impression of the US did you have that turned out to be completely wrong? Mine: that all American citizens live in relative comfort, with state-funded healthcare and education, and perfect coverage of fast internet and mobile data.

This one time I saw what the public transport there looks like in, eh, one of the Spider-Man movies? The new ones? I was shocked at how grimy it was, I was expecting something like in Singapore or Hong Kong.
