Okay, but to be fair the whole nature of the Kardashev scale is that if a Type III civilization existed anywhere nearby we'd be in it, so it's fair to say we have no evidence a Type III exists at all or is even possible

Or that using less energy is a wholly negative thing (which is the whole problem with the initial conception of the Kardashev scale, that using more energy = being more "advanced")
