The fact that the women who wrote the terrible Lilo and Stitch "critique" are actively white supremacist right-wingers is actually very salient and should override any lectures about the specter of the Tumblr SJW.

One of the things that makes the far right dangerous is they know what people want to hear and are willing to say it. If their actions end up seeming hypocritical it doesn't matter because by that point they already have power so there's not much anyone can do about it.

When I started seeing that particular style of Bad Take from “Tumblr SJWs”, what immediately struck me was how similar their style/strategy was to similarly Bad Takes from the right. i.e. they both really like the “we are told that...” argument. (1/2)

Voldemort - the *bad* guy - says something vaguely Satanish in Harry Potter (“WE ARE TOLD THAT there is no good and evil only power, therefore HP is satanic”) On the left, it’d be WE ARE TOLD THAT girls can’t do X (by the *bad* guy, but never mind...) therefore (show) is sexist
